the piss and moan thread

It is already stinking fucken hot in my house, 10.30am and it's 31^oC! The library opens at 2pm, so I'll have 3 hours to study in the aircon. But in the meantime, oh boy...

that sucks! i hate being hot. do what i do and sit around with out clothes on.

i'm doing that but i have to get dressed to go to the library. It is right next to the police station and the ban has only just been lifted.

My flat window is parellel to the walking platform above the parking garage that leads to a hospital. Lots of old people see me naked.

I feel you. It's been in the high 80's to 90's here.

It's now almost 6pm and the temp in my house (near the window where the cool breeze is) is 34^oC. But i've just been for a swim so I'm still nice and cool for the moment.

HOWEVER after watching David Attenborough doco on bull sharks last night I was unable to really relax for my first swim after the winter cold. The water still has the winter cold on and there is no chance there'll be a bull shark in there, but FUCKED IF I DON'T HAVE IRRATIONAL FEARS which prevent me from being normal. I cannot swim in a backyard pool at night without being convinced there is a shark or crocodile in there. Funny, I've never encountered sharks nor crocodiles while swimming but have been stung by invertebrates and am actually allergic to one species. But do you think I worry about them in a pool? No, sharks and crocs, crocs and sharks. A croc could be on the bottom for an hour before it decides to eat you!

it got so hot today i shaved my beard off. Now you can see how fat my neck is again. It looks like I'm in a choke hold.

No way!!. Can we see? Post a pic. And I had too look up the conversion on the temps. Are you kidding? You are only at 93 degrees. When you hit 46 for 3 months straight I might start feeling some sympathy. Although I do feel sorry for you when it's all cold and snowy. I don't do cold.

the trouble is it's hotter inside my house than out. That's ok in winter but you don't even notice it then. 34 is not a particularly hot day, it'll probably get up to 45 in january. But until last week it hadn't got above 20. It's the shock of it all.

Can we still have pics? Did you put out the hair so birds can make their nests?
